Here's the reason why I joined Saturday's protest. During his presidential campaign, Donald Trump promised to ban muslims from entering the country, rip apart immigrant families through mass deportation, and commit war crimes. Not to mention bragging about sexually assaulting women because he's a celebrity and can get away with it. And saying he doesn't think our soldiers who get captured are war heroes. And that Mexicans are killers and rapists (though he supposed some of them may be ok). And on and on and on...
If I sit back quietly while he delivers on those promises, that would make me at least partly responsible because even though I didn't vote for him, he will be the President of the United States and as an American these horrendous acts will be done in my name. So it's my responsibility to speak up.
